1. Introduction

FuelBite ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the FuelBite application ("App").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Food photos: When you use the AI photo recognition feature, your food photos are sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers.
• Nutrition data: Food entries, meal logs, and nutritional information you input are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• Profile information: Height, weight, age, gender, and activity level data you enter for calorie calculations are stored locally on your device.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Subscription data: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous identifiers to manage your subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• HealthKit data: With your explicit permission, the App reads active calorie data from Apple HealthKit and writes nutrition data. This data is never sent to external servers.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
• We do not serve advertisements
• We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties

3. How We Use Your Information

• Food photo analysis: Photos are sent to Google Gemini API solely for nutritional analysis and are not retained after processing.
• Barcode scanning: Barcode data is sent to Open Food Facts (an open-source food database) to retrieve product information.
• Subscription management: Anonymous purchase data is processed by RevenueCat to verify your subscription status.

4. Data Storage

All your personal nutrition data, food logs, and profile information are stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. If you delete the App, all locally stored data will be removed.

5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini API: For AI food photo analysis. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Open Food Facts: For barcode product lookups. An open-source, community-driven database.
• RevenueCat: For subscription management. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Apple HealthKit: For health data integration (optional, requires explicit user consent).

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All network communications use HTTPS encryption. Local data is protected by your device's built-in security features including encryption and biometric authentication.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the App
• Export: Pro users can export their data as CSV files
• Deletion: Delete individual entries within the App, or delete all data by uninstalling the App

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
